Job Description:

The Fraud Management Specialist safeguards the company from financial losses due to fraud and operational discrepancies. This role focuses on preventing and investigating risks tied to inventory processes (cycle counting, ship and pick tickets), COD sales, scrap wire, and defective or damaged materials. Strong data analysis skills, especially in Excel, and knowledge of forensic accounting are key to success in this role. 

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and investigate irregularities in inventory, shipping, COD sales, scrap wire, and damaged goods.
• Analyze data using Excel to identify trends, anomalies, and potential fraud risks.
• Conduct forensic accounting reviews and detailed investigations as needed.
• Prepare reports with findings and recommendations for corrective actions.
• Collaborate with other departments to improve processes and enhance fraud prevention controls.
• Support staff training on fraud awareness and prevention.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Criminal Justice, or related field, or equivalent experience.  3+ years in fraud detection, loss prevention, or forensic accounting.  Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).  Understanding of inventory and operational processes.  Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.  Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.  CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) or similar certification is a plus.  

Physical Requirements: Moderate physical effort required. Standing and walking will constitute 25% or more of the work during a store review. Stooping, kneeling and climbing on an as needed basis.  Travel Requirements: Expected overnight travel. Must have a valid Driver’s License and meet the requirements to be a certified driver for the company.
