AP Claims Specialist

Job Description:

We are looking for a dependable, detail-focused professional to join our AP team as a Claims Specialist. In this role, you will handle claims by working directly with vendors, freight carriers, and stores. You will track claims using Airtable, Excel, and Outlook, ensure documentation is accurate and submitted on time, and help stores understand and navigate the claims process. If you enjoy solving problems, staying organized, and keeping things from slipping through the cracks, this role offers the chance to make a real impact behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities:

File and track claims for missing or damaged items using Airtable

Work with vendors and carriers to recover credits or arrange replacements

Ensure proper documentation is submitted on time

Monitor claim status and keep stores informed

Assist stores with claim-related questions, follow-up, and guidance

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED equivalent

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to analyze and interpret data

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proven follow-up ability

Dependable and reliable, with strong attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

Takes initiative and demonstrates sound judgment when solving problems or completing tasks
